Jim and Kelly Talarico
I was born in Pittsburgh Pa., and still support the Steelers! Raised in a Roman Catholic home, at the age of 19 was humbled and brought to faith in Christ. Considering my past and background, I am utterly amazed at how God has used me upon this earth! From an evangelist in the Jones and Laughlin Steel mill in Aliquippa Pa., to a port missionary in Savannah Georgia, being called to revitalize a hurting church in Wheatridge Co., scratch planting Rocky Mountain Presbyterian Church in Westminster Co., and now I am privileged to be called to the ELI staff as an instructor. My mission in life is to make disciples who are passionate for God, the gospel, and the world.
I have been married to my beautiful wife Kelly for 38 years, and we have served together in the Denver / Boulder Corridor for the last 26 years. I give thanks to God that He has used in evangelism, discipleship, missions, and leadership development, while Kelly gratefully has been used in mercy ministries, hospitality, and children’s ministries. We have five adult children who are all serving Christ around the US. They have provided us with 17 grandchildren and we are sure there will be many more to come!
I am a graduate of Geneva College in Beaver Falls Pa., and Westminster Theological Seminary in California and have served as a Teaching Elder in the PCA for the last 26 years.
We are excited about serving and have been encouraged in what is taking place through the leadership and ministry of ELI. It is our hope and desire that we might leverage our life experiences and ministry background to complement and contribute with this team in advancing the cause of Christ to equip leaders internationally.
