Rev Berry and Ruth Stubbs
A native of Atlanta, Ga, and the youngest of 4 children, Berry received Christ as Lord & Savior during his senior year in college at UNC Chapel Hill, where he obtained a B.A. in English. Having completed his seminary studies at Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando in 1994 with a Masters of Divinity, he was ordained by the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) and has served in various ministerial roles in PCA churches in Florida, South Carolina, & North Carolina for the last 22 years.
In his last pastorate in Charlotte, he reconnected with fellow Central Carolina pastor Joel McCall and was first exposed to the ministry of ELI for the first time. After joining brother Joel for a project in Rwanda, the Lord began to show Berry his next place of service, where his passion to see others draw closer to God through the teaching and proclamation of His Word can be used. With a Hispanic wife, He is delighted to begin serving on staff with Equipping Leaders International (ELI) serving indigenous pastors in Central America.
His wife Ruth remains his best friend, counselor, and helpmate in raising their five children: David (22), Micah (19), and Luke (11), Hannah-Raquel & Cal (7). They make their home in the Mt. Island Lake area of NW Charlotte, NC.
